Above the Pomedes Refuge, in the heart of the Tofane, the first Tofane via ferrata was created in 1957. It leads to the summit of the Tofana di Mezzo, with exposed and vertical passages. It is said to be one of the most difficult routes in the Dolomites, but also one of the most beautiful and panoramic… At least, that's what we thought. On that metal cable, we had fun, we sweated, we rested, we suffered, and we finally found the satisfaction that only a day in the mountains can provide. Afterwards, we often thought back to that suspended time, to the feelings that still come back to us today. In the end, we couldn't resist, and that jersey, which we still didn't know what to call, we renamed Pomedes, because it would somehow remind us of those pleasant moments spent in our mountains. The Pomedes Fleece is a long-sleeved, front-zip jersey, ideal as a lightweight second layer when temperatures are a little cooler or for higher altitude climbs.
