The benchmark for aerodynamic bicycles
Filante SLR is an extremely lightweight aerodynamic bicycle that significantly improves the stiffness-to-weight ratio. The bicycle is used by athletes of the Groupama-FDJ cycling team.
This is why we redesigned the profiles, starting with the NACA/KAMM shape, but with sharper, truncated edges at the rear. These softened angles ensure better performance even when airflow is disrupted.
The distance between the fork legs has been increased by 7 mm (13.6% wider than on the Cento10PRO). This means the legs are further from the wheel, resulting in reduced turbulence and significantly improved aerodynamics.
Thanks to the use of different types of carbon and a liquid crystal polymer, the particular positioning of the fibers and the construction technology, we have been able to achieve an absolutely exceptional level of lightness and rigidity.
Weight savings, combined with high torsional rigidity, allowed us to increase the stiffness-to-weight (STW) ratio by 12.5%. This increase is noticeable on highly technical courses (numerous turns, descents, etc.) as well as on very fast courses.
