The Giro Cinder Mips helmet offers all the features a road bike enthusiast could want in a lightweight package. The design is inspired by the classic style of the Giro Synthe helmet, offering similar performance.

What is MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) technology?
Developed in Sweden by scientists at Karolinska Hospital and the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, MIPS is a technology designed to protect the rider's head against multi-directional impacts.
In the event of an impact, rotational forces will be better dissipated thanks to the 10 to 15 mm movement made possible by the inner surface of the helmet moving independently of the outer shell.
This is attached to the helmet's structure by elastomer fasteners that stretch to better absorb shock. Between the two, the surface used offers little friction, allowing for smooth movement in all directions.
