Filante SLR is an extremely lightweight aerodynamic bike with a significantly improved stiffness-to-weight ratio. We used the same materials and technologies as in the construction of the Wilier 0 SLR.
The result is a high-end aerodynamic frame that complements our pure climbing bike used by the Astana Qazaqstan team.

AERODYNAMIC
Filante SLR was designed to maximize aerodynamic performance in real-world environmental conditions. The design was based on data recorded in a wind tunnel (where the wind is very clean for consistent empirical results) while also taking into account the real world. In this way, we not only evaluate typical wind tunnel data (yaw angles from -20° to +20°), but we also take into account environmental turbulence that affects the bike for many different reasons.
That's why we redesigned the airfoils, starting with the standard NACA/KAMM tail airfoils that no longer have sharp edges at the rear. The softened angles improve performance even when the airflow is disrupted.
The inside of the front fork has been widened by 7 mm, making it 13.6% wider than the Cento10PRO. In doing so, we have moved the fork legs further away from the wheel, reducing turbulence and improving aerodynamics.

240 EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE
Since the fork head tube is no longer beveled, up to 35 mm of spacers can be installed under the handlebars. By combining frame sizes, handlebar sizes, and spacers, we can achieve 240 different connections, with no overlap between combinations. This is in addition to the two seatposts available, with a setback of 15 mm or 0 mm.
Lightweight and responsive
The new aerodynamically optimized profiles have helped us eliminate additional weight in the frame construction. The shape has no sharp edges and therefore requires less material and less resin in the corners. This improves internal homogeneity, reducing the frame weight to just 870 grams. The bike assembled to the top-of-the-range specifications weighs 6.8 kg.
The Filante monocoque handlebar is made from the same carbon we use for the Wilier 0 SLR. Thanks to the different types of carbon we used in combination with the liquid crystal polymer, the unique positioning of the fibers and the construction technology, we have achieved an absolute level of lightness and rigidity.
The lower overall weight, combined with exceptional rigidity, increases the STW by 12.5%. This improvement is clearly felt in the steering precision and the feeling of safety at high speeds.
