Seat bag users fall into two categories: seat aficionados and seat bag users. Traditionally, seat bags were simple open spaces that allowed the contents to swing, rattle, and rub against each other. Often a replacement tube has been removed from a seat bag to reveal it to be more full of holes than the replaced tube due to rubbing against a house key or multi-tool. With Mattone, we designed a layout similar to a book, where the bag can open completely to hold the CO2 tube and cartridge on one side, separated by a padded ballistic nylon "page" separating it from the other side where you can store a head inflator, multi-tool, contact lens case, etc. The "page" also contains a slot for a credit card, ID, cash, or house key. The unique off-center Aquaguard zipper allows the case to open fully and lay flat when not on the bike,
A high-friction Hypalon strap with BOA® closure completes the package. With over 15 times the power of Velcro®, the BOA® closure uses a ratchet mechanism that won't slip or loosen even under the most extreme vibrations and impacts. This ensures that the Mattone will stay "high and tight" under your saddle until you need to access it... no rocking, swaying, or rattling... ever!
