Castelli has collaborated with the Italian brand ITTTAI® to create an exclusive fabric, combining advanced elasticity, breathability and water protection, thanks to ITTTAI®'s expertise in membranes and lamination.
The Perfetto Air W Jacket, a new way to dress for winter, allows you to enjoy cycling while always staying dry and warm. To develop the jacket, we had to create our new Ristretto Technology fabrics. This technology allows us to precisely regulate the amount of air that can pass through, but also, and more importantly, the amount of moisture that can escape from the inside. Because when you're drier, you're warmer and more comfortable. And when you're more comfortable, you can stay on the bike longer. Not only does the Ristretto Technology fabric breathe, but it's also stretchy, which has allowed us to create a jacket that fits better than ever. To make the Perfetto Air W Jacket, we used our Ristretto Lite fabric throughout the jacket to ensure maximum breathability and comfort. The elasticity of the fabric allows for a very close fit, for complete freedom of movement. Additionally, as this is a winter jacket, we've added insulation in carefully chosen areas where the air touches the wearer to ensure extra warmth. This jacket pairs perfectly with a short-sleeved base layer in cooler weather and our Flanders base layer in colder weather, allowing the Perfetto Air W Jacket to handle a wide temperature range. And there's no need to worry if you get caught in a downpour or the roads are wet, as the Ristretto Lite fabric has undergone a PFAS-free DWR treatment to shed water. For days when you already know it's going to rain, this jacket pairs perfectly with the Ultra Rain Cape to provide complete protection with a close-fitting fit.
