Meaning Brick in Italian, the Mattone is SILCA's award-winning seat bag powered by the Boa closure system.
With the new Mattone Grande, we have now created a “bigger brick” with 0.74 L of internal volume, almost 2 x the volume of the original Mattone (0.41 L). The Mattone Grande is capable of holding up to 3 inner tubes with 2 CO2 cartridges, 2 tire levers and a multi-tool. It can also easily hold up to two 29x2.5 MTB tubes with CO2, levers and a multi-tool, the Mattone Grande is ideal for long adventure rides or races where you need to be prepared for anything.
Similar to the original Mattone, a high-friction Hypalon strap with BOA® closure completes the package. With over 15 times the power of Velcro®, the BOA® closure uses a ratchet mechanism that won't slip or loosen even under the most extreme vibrations and impacts. This ensures that the Mattone will stay "high and tight" under your saddle until you need to access it... no rocking, swaying, or rattling... ever!
