Integrated innovation: the Aerokit system
The diagonal tube, always one of the most complex parts to design, was developed with a specific objective: to obtain the lowest possible aerodynamic resistance and to minimize the exposure of the tanks to the air.
It is with this in mind that the Aerokit system was designed by our Innovation Lab in collaboration with Elite Cycling, a world leader in the design and production of hydration systems for cycling. This collaboration has resulted in the creation of a kit that is both functional and high-performing: a total capacity of 1100 ml, optimally distributed with minimal aerodynamic impact.
From a technical standpoint, the Aerokit functions like a true wing, maintaining more stable airflow and reducing turbulence around the frame. Compared to traditional systems, aerodynamic drag is reduced by more than two-thirds.
The Aerokit is also compatible with traditional round bottles: from 550 ml on the diagonal tube to 750 ml on the seat tube.
To meet the needs of cyclists, the Filante SLR ID2 frame is also designed for the installation of traditional bottle cages.
